Brendan Winter
Brendan founded Simply Resting in 2025 following an invitation from Peter Fenner to offer nondual teachings. Brendan has trained with Peter in retreat and 1:1 sessions.
He has spent over 30 years practicing across different traditions. His primary formal practice has been Zen, including with the Sydney Zen Centre and Melbourne Zen Group. He has also attended Vipassana retreats and extensively studied Mindfulness of Breathing techniques. Brendan holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Master of Arts in English.
Brendan lives in Sydney with his wife, two children, and a cat, not too far from the beach.
Carl Kay
Carl has has been a facilitator in nondual and mindfulness meditation groups for over 10 years, including numerous events within the Radiant Mind community.
He has had a personal practice for 25 years that has included nondual contemplation, mindfulness meditation, yoga, somatic breathing (Buteyko) and ACT therapies. He has formally trained in Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), Transpersonal Counselling, and Buteyko.
Carl is constantly inspired by the felt sense of being in nature and the nondual way of life. He lives on the beautiful Sunshine Coast in Queensland, Australia.

Peter Fenner
Dr. Peter Fenner is a writer, researcher, spiritual coach, educator and guide for all of the Simply Resting teachers.
His work is based on the nondual Perfection of Wisdom tradition of Mahayana Buddhism. He is also deeply influenced by the Mahamudra, Dzogchen, and Zen traditions.
Peter has a Ph.D. in the philosophical psychology of the Madhyamaka school of Buddhism. His primary teacher was the celebrated Lama Thubten Yeshe. Peter was an ordained Tibetan monk for 9 years.
His books include Radiant Mind: Awakening Unconditioned Awareness, Natural Awakening: An Advanced Guide in Sharing Nondual Awareness, and The Edge of Certainty: Paradoxes on the Buddhist Path.
